Dr Mbikayi Tshimanga

Gynaecologist & Obstetrician

Dr Tshimanga is a specialist gynaecologist and obstetrician practising at Melomed Richards Bay.

Dr Tshimanga graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Kinshasa in 2006. He then went on to complete his Master's in Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MMED) at the University of the Free State in 2022. In addition, Dr Tshimanga obtained his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FCOG SA) from the College of Medicine South Africa (CMSA) and a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from the World Laparoscopy Hospital in India.

After serving as a Medical Officer and completing his medical community service in the Ladysmith Hospital in 2015, Dr Tshimanga dedicated his medical career to woman’s healthcare. His journey began as a Medical Officer in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics departments at Ladysmith Hospital. Dr Tshimanga’s practice is now based at Melomed Richards Bay, where he provides comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care to women of all ages and backgrounds.

He is committed to providing expert guidance and educating patients on women’s healthcare and reproductive health. His compassionate and supportive bedside manner creates an environment where women can feel comfortable putting their trust in him.
